Snowbasin’s latest pre-roll pass promo might be my favorite…ever.

Let me quickly tie a couple things together.

First, I live in Snowbasin’s market so I get targeted by their stuff more than most.

Second, I’ve loved their pre-roll ad strategy lately and, more specifically, their “What If” campaign.

Third, one of my biggest sources for marketing inspiration is simply noticing when marketing gets to me to act or feel something.

And, man, this latest one checks that box with permanent marker.

The Latest “What If”

I’m gonna keep this one short, so let’s got the video which, as of me writing this, is approaching 60,000 views as a pre-roll ad on YouTube.

This latest edition is what the title refers to as their “Athlete Narration” edit. A similar set of shots, it combines new music and narration to create a new vibe.

And that vibe? Man, it gets me. I’m not totally sure why, but I loved the first videos they used this spring but this one just gets the heart going in ways I haven’t felt from marketing for a while.

The music, the pace, the visuals…that combination is something special. And notice the focus on lifestyle and experience beyond the skiing?

Awesome stuff.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go watch it…again.
