I’ve only witnessed a partial solar eclipse, but it was a pretty mind-blowing experience. Mix that feeling of glimpsing the scale of the universe with the giddiness of cool science and you’ll have something pretty close to what sloshed through my brain that day.

There’s a good reason people are estimating hundreds of thousands of visitors to Vermont – and surrounding states – for this event. It’s awe on overload.

So how are resorts trying to make the most of this year’s edition? I’ve been collecting these for a while now and wanted to share these ideas while there was still time for these resorts, or others, to be inspired by others’ ideas and be able to tweak or create their own.

Sunday River
