Summer
Working with our guests’ lives, not against them.

Weekdays.

While weekends see a compressed flurry of visitation, Monday – Friday has always been the puzzle. How do you compete for time against the inevitable 9-5 that gives someone the resources to visit your resort in the first place?

The answer? Maybe you don’t.

Deer Valley
Deer Valley has a lot going for them, but one of the best is their proximity to the Salt Lake Valley.

Let’s do some math.

Say you work typical 9-5 downtown. How long would it take to get to Deer Valley after work? About 43 minutes.

What about from further south in Sandy? About 44.

So if you left right after work or snuck out a few minutes early, no matter where you were in a valley of over 1,000,000 people, you could be at Deer Valley by 5:30.

And given longer summer days, I guess you’d have time for something like…

Here’s the scoop:

During this summer’s Wednesday evening SCOTT Twilight Ride Series, Deer Valley Resort is excited to offer Men’s and Women’s Twilight Clinics on July 5, July 19, August 2 and August 16, 2017, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Midweek?
Wednesday evenings through the summer.

Evening?
Runs from 5:30-8:30pm.

Doable for a 9-5er?
Skip work a little early, no PTO required.

Awesome
For the same reason I love resorts like Brighton that go big on night skiing during the winter, I love products that work with people’s daily lives rather than against them.

Not every resort has the luxury of 1,000,000 people within 30-40 minutes of their resort, but Utah resorts do and take full advantage.

Good stuff, Deer Valley.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
