Why I love Killington’s Classics in one simple, obvious word.

There are a lot of words you could tie to skiing. And, as such, there are a lot of tones and messages we try to weave into our marketing messages about skiing.

  • Freedom
  • Inspiration
  • Memories
  • Escape
  • Nature
  • Family
  • Adrenaline
  • Adventure

But there’s one that’s so simple, so obvious, it often gets overlooked.

Skiing is fun.

And when you talk about putting a word behind the marketing messages we share, there’s one place my mind goes in this situations: Killington Classics.

The one they released earlier this week…

…and the one they released in the spring but I somehow missed (forgive me, Chandler)…

…are amazingly well made, but they’re also just stinkin’ fun. It’s not aspirational or awe inspiring or mind blowing or whatetver. It’s just…fun.

As always, nice work Killington.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
