I won’t say much about this. If you’re read SlopeFillers for any amount of time you know how I feel about small ski areas. How desperate I am to find ways to help them.
Among their many challenges – core skiers’ refusal to set foot on them being the first – one of the biggest is their lack of marketing resources to compete with the booming voices of the big dogs in any market, but especially their own.
So seeing L.L. Bean tell this story (with the help of Origin) is awesome. It’s powerful. It’s refreshing.
Most of all, it’s everything good about skiing in a single video.
I say this every time stories like this are released, but I’m gonna close out this post with the same simple statement once again.
What does our industry need? A lot more stories like this one.
About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010
with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider
Inntopia,
my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley,
and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
