I believe in stories as a marketing tool. They connect with people, they build the brand, the cut through the clutter of ski porn that is pouring onto the intrawebs at an unbelievable rate.

In the never ending quest for ideas, here are three videos to spark some inspiration in the storytelling department.

A Skiers Journey: Dubai
No big lines necessary, this short flick told the stories of the skiers themselves. Awesome.

The Death Rail
As Field Productions makes their new movie, Supervention, they’re making a behind the scenes web series along the way. I wouldn’t be surprised if the story behind the move ends up being more popular than the movie itself.

Livin’ Tiny: A Quest For Powder
Build a tiny house, haul it to a mountain and search for powder. Notice how little skiing is in this short film but how clear it is that the story is about skiing.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
