So, nothing long winded today, just a little inspiration to round out the week. If I had to rank my favorite print ads of all time, this little number from Boeri would be #1, hands down. In fact, I have reason to believe it played some role in motivating my interest in marketing. Released a decade ago, it is all that remains of my late ’90s ski mag collection. A chicken with a helmet. Less protected siblings. And Mable. Something about the simplicity, clarity, and humor left me staring at this page over and over again and serves as a reminder of what kind of marketing I work for. Hopefully it does the same for you in one way or another.

Google+ Update
Also, one extra note for those of you who missed the boat on the Google+ Business Entity Application chance earlier this week, here’s an updated link: http://www.goo.gl/KR7z5. Turns out they got so many applicants it filled the spreadsheet (a spreadsheet can have a max of 400,000 cells, a little math says they have already have more than 33,300 applicants). Don’t worry too much if you don’t get in, according to the form, “These test profiles will be retired when we launch our business product.” However, if you are going to apply, they’ll close that form around 9pm ET tonight so get on it.

Like I said, nothing big today. Just a random, fun print ad to spark some ideas and an update of Google’s latest project. Enjoy your weekend. I’ll see you Monday.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
