“As a lover of simplicity, I like to highlight resort marketing that is both effective but incredibly simple in execution. This is one of those examples.”

A lot of “season in review” videos are coming out these days. Some are very well made, with beautifully show footage editing into a fast-paced, entertaining summary of the past winter.

But one video in particular stands out from the rest to me, and it has very much to do with a topic I addressed recently. Take a look…

The ski season is not about the resort. It’s not about the events the mountain hosted or the dumps the intern reported.

The ski season is about skiers.

So when I see a resort video that used 48 different Instagram photos from the skiers’ perspective of the skiers’ experiences, to me, it seems to make it about the skiers’ season.

Plus, if I see one of my photos in that video, you’d better believe I’m going to share it.

Great work guys.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
