Inspiration
I absolutely love this snowmaking + football video shot at Beech Mountain.

I think sometimes we see the same incredible vistas and moments so often that we forget just how amazing they are.

Snowmaking is definitely one of those.

The sunrise burning through a plume, a long exposure of a fan gun at night, and whales piled up one after the other for as far as you can see are just some of those. But even the very nature of snowmaking – glittery crystals blowing across blue sky – is an amazing visual.

Beech + Football
At that’s exactly what Beech Mountain and Appalachian State realized.

So when the football team brought out their all-white kits for an upcoming game, they wheels started turning and this was the result.

I absolutely love this.

There’s something about seeing two things together that normally are miles apart. A monolith in the red-rocks of rural Utah and a football player trudging through snowmaking plumes share this same, simple concept.

Kudos to the Beech Mountain team for making it happen.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
