In the never ending quest for awesome social media content, Snowbird started a clever little tradition that has been happening every Thursday for quite some time now. Simple and fun, “Throwback Thursdays” as they are known, is nothing more than a collection of retro ski photos from days gone by.

If you’re looking for content for the upcoming season to fill in the gaps, this isn’t a bad idea. It’s like when you go golfing with a neighbor you thought you knew only to hear stories about their crazy rebellious days or how they melted their barrel down in Vietnam while covering an injured soldier. When you see how the mountain used to be, you get that much closer to it.

Anyway, here’s a handful of my favorites (but really, if you have a few minutes, the album has over 100 photos that are completely awesome):

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
