Whenever a new client approaches me about a web design project, the first thing I do is peruse the sites of competitors, bloggers, etc. in the industry. I’m not planning on copying their work or style, rather I find that looking at layouts, headlines, and items included on the main page, gives me all sorts of ideas about what I should included (and NOT include) in my design drafts.

This week, I’m kicking off a whole host of posts about ski resort websites with this quick video: screenshots of 51 websites in 5 minutes. The goal is simple, give you are your team a quick source of inspiration when it comes to working on your resort’s new website.

As I took these screenshots, I also recorded some extremely interesting and surprising data about what is and isn’t on most ski resort websites that I’ll be sharing later this week. Until then, enjoy the video :)

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
