Inspiration
My favorite part of Seven Springs’ viral video is what came after.

In case you missed it, Seven Springs staged a fun, clever little backdrop for a recent mountain update video.

It got picked up, memed, and saw a level of reach ski resorts rarely see. See that view count? Yeah, 11.5 MILLION.

But they didn’t stop there. They followed it with an update shot in the same spot but with caution tape on the railing.

And snagged a cool 60,000 views.

A few days later, that spot over Abbey’s left shoulder was filled with their version of @dudewithasign.

And then someone gearing up while Abbey talked about dressing for warm weather.

I love. I really, really love it. Not so much because of the actual content, but because of why they made it.

Seven Springs is having fun. They’ve found a fantastic balance between doing marketing that’s brilliant and effective and helpful and enjoying the ride. The vibe in so much of what they do – from this to their annual shop tour – is positive, fun, carefree, and happy.

Kinda like…well…skiing.

Awesome stuff.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
