We like to think that we, as marketers, are honest. Let me rephrase. I like to think I’m honest in my marketing and I think many marketers are just like me. The problem is, I am often not honest enough with myself to realize that I’m not 100% honest. Not in a “100% Juice (contains 30% juice)” kinda way, but little stuff. Dumb stuff.

So, when Joel Gratz shared a link to this video (which fits because my favorite part of his original site was the “Voted #1 Powder Forecast by Our Dads” banner at the top), I tried to peel away those crusty layers of ego and really listen to what the speaker, Jason Cohen, was saying. The more I did, the more I realized how important this talk is. It’s 51 minutes long, but worth every second.

From website copy to snow reports, by the end of the video the wheels in my head were turning in high gear. I wouldn’t be surprised if it does the same for you.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
