A very interesting update this month as Vail ramps up the fan count, average growth slows considerably, Mammoth maintain’s the #1 spot but just by a narrow margin, and the Top 25 Ski Resorts on Facebook list welcomes a new face in Copper Mountain. It will be interesting to see if the slowed growth is a matter of the end of the season being in sight or fan pages running out of people who truly are fans of their resort to add to their list.

Noteable Changes

  • Vail grows by more than 29% (10,400 fans) to move up to #3, leapfrogging both Breckenridge & Keystone
  • The average fan count of a top 25 resort grew by only 7.6% (down from 10.2% last month), the lowest rate since September 2010
  • The top 25 resorts snagged a total of 42.910 fans in the last month
  • Two resorts recorded less than 3% growth, the first time since the season began.

The 10% Growth Club

  • Vail (29.37%)
  • Hunter Mountain (18.45%)
  • Copper Mountain (18.17%)
  • Jackson Hole (13.98%)
  • Snowshoe (10.21%)

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
