Branding
Only one resort has tweeted about COVID-19. Any guesses who it was?

I’m following things like most folks are. There’s a New York Times dashboard, specifically, that I find strikes a nice balance between the facts today and where they’re heading.

But, naturally, I’m also watching the resort sphere.

And while many folks are talking about it, I’ve been really curious to see if/when resorts would enter the conversation.

Peak transparency?
So far, only one resort directly has brought it up. And if you think back to the last post I published and this quote:

“But regardless of the potential benefits, it takes someone to push the limits a little more and a little more and a little more. Paving the way for others to follow.

Perhaps even making mistakes that other can then avoid.

And for that, I tip my hat to Al and the Arapahoe Basin team.”

I guess it should be no surprise that, once again, Arapahoe Basin is out in front of this.

I don’t know what the right way to handle this is, but I appreciate the brands who have been up front with me thus far even if they are simply saying they don’t have any specifics yet.

Arapahoe Basin in one of those. So, once again, I tip my hat.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
