As if timed by Ullr himself, the first widespread snowfall graced resort peaks all across Colorado yesterday. For some, this came moments before season pass deadlines pushed prices up and gave marketers an excuse to push one more reminder to their skiers. For others, it was just a chance to get folks stoked on the immanent arrival of winter. Among the resorts that capitalized were:

Aspen/Snowmass
“Guess what we woke up to this morning? Just in time to motivate you to grab your season passes before the super early deadline passes tomorrow! http://www.aspensnowmass.com/seasonpass

Copper Mountain
“To celebrate this season’s first snow we’ve got some great Snow Day vacation packages for you.”

Winter Park Resort
“We got more snow overnight! Posted a few pics at winterparkresort.com/photos, and we’ll shoot more after the clouds lift from the Divide. ”

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area
“A little “snow love” for Thursday! We’ll be posting a video from Alan shortly!”

Crested Butte Mountain Resort
“It has fallen and it’s now becoming visible as the clouds lift… don’t the Aspen trees usually have to turn yellow and then the leaves fall before this happens? We’re hoping this is Mother Nature giving us a sign of lots of snow to come this winter. What do ya think?”

Monarch Mountain
“Whoa! That’s a view for ya!”

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
