Okay, maybe no words, but fewer words.
Over the last decade, Snowbird has built their brand around a mountain that isn’t for everyone with campaigns leaning into deep snow, steep runs, and…well…not much else.
Within the shadow of those steep and deep runs, however…actually no, that’s too big of a shadow. Within the shadow of the beautiful Cliff Lodge, however…hmm, maybe still too big. Within the shadow of a tree next to Cliff Lodge, however, sits, Chickadee’s magic carpet.
For context, Chickadee is really the only truly beginner terrain on the mountain as is serviced by a double chair that, according to Lift Blog, rises approximately 5% up Snowbird’s total vert.
Now, off to the west side of Chickadee is a tinier, milder, easier area serviced by a magic carpet.
So how do you announce that this humble part of your “not for everyone” mountain is opening? There may not be a perfect way, but this is pretty dang close.
It’s gold…pure gold.
About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010
with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider
Inntopia,
my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley,
and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
