Twitter Top 25 Update – Dec 2010

December 1st, 2010

Ah yes, it’s that time of the month for the Twitter Top 25 update. This month, I’ve sacked the old “follower : following” ratio to make way for Klout Scores. Five resorts climbed the charts, four fell, and when ranked by Klout, the list takes an interesting twist.

Movers

  • Sugarloaf (+2)
  • Snowbird (+1)
  • Beaver Creek (+1)
  • Copper Mountain (+1)
  • Alpine Meadows (+1)
  • The Canyons (-1)
  • Arapahoe Basin (-1)
  • Loveland (-1)
  • Arizona Snow Bowl (-2)

Shakers

  • Whistler/Blackcomb gained nearly 1,400 followers last month, passing the 12,000 mark a week ago.
  • Breckenridge and Keystone gained 782 and 659 followers respectively. More than a 10% gain for each of them.
  • Alpine Meadows jumped back on the list after a few-month absence.

Klout Top 10
Note that @pcski, @beavercreekmtn, and @thecanyons who are in the follower-ranked top 10 don’t make the cut when ranked by Klout.

Maybe we should just not tell anybody about this, and then you won't have to build the new site!

      2. Ski Bum says:

If base depth and ytd snowfall factored into KLOUT scores, Snowbird would be killing it right now.

Ain't that the cryin' truth. Maybe I need to make a new site that factors in amount of untracked and lack of crowds into the formula.
