Content Marketing
B-roll + text + social = solid combo.

We all have b-roll footage in our media libraries.

We all have text that succinctly describes a feature or activity or reason to visit your resort.

We all have audiences on social media that are constrained by attention spans and platform limitations.

What to Do?
Mount Norquay did too. So they did this.

We’ve all seen these videos before and we all know why they exist. On Twitter, videos autoplay as you scroll but they do so silently.

So by turning the narration into large, overlaid text, the message can get through even if the viewer never turns the volume on/up.

Kept Simple
What I love about this is the simplicity of it. No music rights, no complex editing, no voiceover to record, no footage to gather, just a few of the best photos/videos from the library edited into a quick, simple package that does pretty darn well at getting attention from a social media user who otherwise might have ignored.

Well played.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
