Last month I speculated whether maybe the social uproar at Squaw had boosted their fan count. Still not sure if I’m right but again, Squaw come out victorious climbing 6 positions (a Top 25 list record) and increasing their fan count by more than 15%. Lots of other changes await in this month’s update of the Top 25 Ski Resorts of Facebook list.

Noteable

  • Last month, the average growth by a Top 25 resort was 4.56. This month, that number was 4.47. Could that be the number we see through the summer?
  • Combined the Top 25 resorts on Facebook have a total of 682,738 fans.
  • Combined the Top 25 resorts gained a total of 25,681 fans during the last month.
  • The membership remained unchanged with no new resorts moving onto or off of the Top 25

The 5% Club

  • Squaw Valley (15.01%)
  • Northstar-at-Tahoe (13.72%)
  • Hunter Mountain (8.11%)
  • Jay Peak (6.95%)
  • Keystone (6.49%)
  • Killington (5.89%)

All the Changes

  • Squaw Valley (+6)
  • Northstar-at-Tahoe (+2)
  • Keystone (+1)
  • Mount Snow (+1)
  • Hunter (+1)
  • Jackson Hole (-1)
  • Snowshoe (-1)
  • Jay Peak (-1)
  • Killington (-1)

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
