Perspectives
A quick “thank you.”

I had other content planned for today, but I pulled it down last night and got to the airport a little early this morning so I could type up a quick note of appreciation.

With small kids at home and plenty to do between 9-5, I haven’t traveled much during the last 24 months. In fact, I’d only been to one conference during that time. Not seeing and meeting the talented people whose work I was writing about on SlopeFillers, I think I fell into a bit of a “do people still care?” bubble when I thought about this project.

The metrics said readership was great, the small group I interacted with regularly online gave no cause for questioning, but the question remained.

Finally, after a long hiatus, I returned to the NSAA National Convention where I’ve been the last few days.

Almost instantly, I was floored by the appreciated that awaited me for my imperfect efforts within the SlopeFillers walls. Many of you, many more than I ever expected, came and introduced yourself and shared a few kind words.

I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for your gratitude, your understanding, your willingness to see past my imperfections at what I’m trying to do here, and for sticking with me as I try to keep providing ideas, insights, and analyses as marketing changes along with my life and workload.

Most of all, however, thanks for doing amazing work that gives me something to write about.

Keep it up the amazing work.

About Gregg & SlopeFillers
I've had more first-time visitors lately, so adding a quick "about" section. I started SlopeFillers in 2010 with the simple goal of sharing great resort marketing strategies. Today I run marketing for resort ecommerce and CRM provider Inntopia, my home mountain is the lovely Nordic Valley, and my favorite marketing campaign remains the Ski Utah TV show that sold me on skiing as a kid in the 90s.
